By Clinical Research News Staff
October 20, 2026 | BARCELONA—Medidata was named the 2026 Best of Show Award winner at SCOPE Europe last week, chosen from among 20 new products on display at the European event.
Clinical Research News’ Best of Show Awards program recognizes the best new products in the clinical research space. Any company exhibiting a new product at SCOPE Europe was invited to enter and the winners are chosen during public voting on site in Barcelona. Please note, selection is never based on level of sponsorship or exhibit participation.
All of the finalists will be recognized at their booths in the Exhibit Hall and attendees are encouraged to explore the novel technologies and solutions firsthand to identify exceptional innovation in technologies used by life science professionals, voting on the most impactful new products of the year.
This year the community in Barcelona chose Medidata’s Study Feasibility Scenario Simulator.
As the company described the product in their entry:
Medidata’s AI-powered scenario simulation allows users to replace fragmented planning tools with a centralized hub that turns robust industry data into actionable, feasibility insights. Using predictive AI models, users can simulate the leanest, most viable combination of countries and sites to meet enrollment goals in minutes. Users can create and compare multiple scenarios to visualize how changes in study parameters affect enrollment timelines. Additionally, on Medidata’s unified platform, optimized scenarios move seamlessly from planning to activation with site lists imported into CTMS Study Startup.
Traditional feasibility planning is time intensive requiring data to be pulled from multiple sources with endless iterations. Building a study footprint based on inaccurate publicly available data or intuition can have massive financial consequences for sponsors including extended timelines, cost overruns, low enrollment, and overburdened sites. Scenario simulation moves study feasibility from subjective guesswork to data-driven decision making. Our predictive AI model eliminates manual iterations and surfaces optimized country and site mix scenarios based on study-specific criteria, study teams’ expertise and Medidata’s proprietary data.
